Terramundi Money Pots
For the past 15 years, Terramundi have worked very hard to maintain the highest quality products and to bring the best of contemporary designs. They are very proud to say that their money pots are still all hand made on a wheel by a small family run pottery in Umbria and painted by hand in the studio in London.
Original Etruscan money pots have been traditionally used in italy for over 2000 years and their hand thrown design has remained unchanged. Examples can be seen in the British Museum.
When money pots are used and the first coin has been dropped inside, the pot should be fed until full upon which it must be smashed whilst making a wish. It is customary to replace the pot and to spend the money on good things. Broken pots are often used for plants and candles. Money Pots bring good fortune and there is a fortune coin inside each pot and a separtate date and desire card to insert when you begin saving. Money pots can hold up to £200 in mixed silver and over £400 in gold coins
